Pakistan's World Twenty20 squad has been hit by a spate of injuries during the rigorous training camp leading up to the tournament, but captain Shahid Afridi assures that there is "nothing serious".

"There have been a few fitness problems but it's natural because the camp has been tough so far. The boys are learning and I'm confident that our fielding will improve," Afridi told

Waqar Younis is to replace Intikhab Alam as the coach of Pakistan and the former fast bowler is set to lead his country until at least the 2011 World Cup.

His appointment has been confirmed by Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Ijaz Butt, who told The Hindustan Times:

"Waqar Younis has been appointed the national coach with immediate effect. He is in Australia at the moment and is expected to come down very soon. We hope to see some change in Pakistan cricket.

"He will continue till the 2011 World Cup. We are in no hurry to make changes if the team performs well. Hopefully, he will do well"

Muhammad Yousaf, Yunis Khan, shoaib malik and Rana Naveed is banned

Muhammad Yousaf, Yunis Khan are banned for unlimited time and Shoaib Malik and Rana Naveed are banned for one year for international cricket from Pakistan national side.
